About This Utility

The Mission: Data Sovereignty & Free Utility

This PNG/JPG to WebP Converter was engineered to solve a friction point in my own workflow. As a microbiology student, I am constantly balancing between the physical wet-lab—dealing with microbial populations, pipettes, and microscopic assays—and the digital realm where I architect systems and analyze datasets.

I built this tool to be 100% free, unlimited, and strictly ad-free. Why? Because the internet is cluttered with "utility" sites that monetize your privacy, force you to upload your sensitive images to third-party servers, and overwhelm you with tracking scripts. My mission is to promote Data Sovereignty: I believe you should be able to process your files locally, in your own browser, without your data ever leaving your device.

Bridging the Petridish & the Terminal

My journey is one of relentless self-teaching. From rebuilding my academic logic after a difficult CBSE road to navigating complex technical systems, I approach every project through the lens of a systems architect. This converter is an example of that—high-performance, low-latency, and built to survive the demands of serious research.

This project was developed through a rigorous architecture process, using AI as a tool to translate my specific logical requirements into production-grade code. It is an open-source contribution to the dev world, designed to prove that undergraduate research and software engineering can coexist in the same laboratory.
